My name is Nicholas, beloved husband of Daria. Daria was detained by immigration officers on Friday January 2nd at her regularly scheduled ICE check-in that she is required to do since coming to the US over 2 years ago.

Despite us being married, despite her entering the country legally, and despite her asylum claim, she was taken. She has all the legal protection to grant her lawful presence, yet she sits in a detention facility far from home.

We are fighting for her release as we have done everything by the book, respecting the laws of our country.

This fundraiser will help cover legal fees which will be insurmountable on my own and without her ability to work.
