About this fundraiser

My name is Shawn and my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer Aug last year. We were devastated, but had no idea just how bad things would get. She was determined to fight, as we have a 8 year old son. When she told her job, they fired her a week later. She wound up having to have 4 surgeries instead of 1, and missed the window to have chemo because she wouldn’t heal. It took her a year to find a new job, so we quickly fell behind on rent. She’s been applying for grants, but hasn’t had much luck. She seems to get more and more depressed every day and has even stopped taking her medicine. It’s so hard to catch up once you fall behind, and our landlord is about ready to evict us. I just don’t know what to do, as keeping a roof over our head is so important and so scary to think of losing that with our situation and our son! I figured it can’t hurt to try this; anything we get for help will go directly to our landlord to catch up. It would be amazing to finally see a light at the end of the tunnel, and to see my wife smile again! Thank you for reading this if you’re still here and if you can help, we are grateful beyond words!
