On October 2, 2023, my mom, Dana Ionadi, was diagnosed with IDC (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma), or breast cancer. Her initial surgery was November 13. Her treatments will not include chemotherapy for now, but she will have to undergo radiation treatments in the new year. With her medical insurance, she has to pay $6,000 out-of-pocket. The stress induced by this, and her other hefty bills is going to hinder her healing process greatly. She is slowly attempting to pay off her current medical bills, which are quickly adding up.
