Hi, my name is Carmen Cabrera, and I’m the proud mother of a beautiful, strong, and brave 6-year-old boy named Lucifer.

Lucifer was born with several severe medical conditions, including brain damage, legal blindness, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and he is G-tube fed. These diagnoses came without warning, and since the day he was born, our lives have been a rollercoaster of love, challenges, and constant care.

Lucifer is full of light and love, but every day is a battle—for him and for me. He depends on me completely for every part of his care. I recently had to leave my job to become his full-time caregiver so I can take him to all his specialist appointments and be there for his every need. It was a decision made out of love, but it's put us in an incredibly difficult financial situation.

Why We Need Help

We’ve reached out to every resource and program available, but we’re only given the bare minimum, and much of the equipment we do receive is outdated, doesn’t fit, or can’t be replaced for years. Right now:

His wheelchair is too small, but we can't get a new one through insurance for another two years.

We were given a Hoyer lift, but it came without a sling, making it completely unusable.

Our bathroom is not handicap accessible, and his bath chair no longer fits or works safely in our home.

He’s outgrown essential medical equipment that we can’t afford to replace.

Lucifer deserves more than “just enough.” He deserves comfort, dignity, and proper care.

How the Funds Will Be Used

Every dollar raised will go directly toward improving Lucifer’s daily life and supporting our family while I continue to care for him full-time. Your donations will help us:

💙 Purchase a properly fitted wheelchair

💙 Get a sling for his Hoyer lift so we can safely transfer him

💙 Make bathroom modifications for accessibility and safety

💙 Replace outgrown adaptive equipment

💙 Cover transportation and travel for his frequent medical appointments

💙 Support basic living expenses while I remain home to care for him

We Need Help Now

We urgently need these funds as soon as possible. Every day we go without the right equipment makes caregiving more dangerous and painful—for both Lucifer and me. The longer we wait, the more his needs go unmet.
