Plot Twist: The Car Graduated Too.

When my daughter graduated from high school, I didn’t send out announcements or ask for graduation gifts. She had already earned something far more valuable—a strong work ethic. She spent high school delivering pizzas, finishing assignments, and getting accepted to college in Houston.

Then her car decided it had completed its own education.

It didn’t just break down. It chose retirement. Without notice. No two-week notice, no farewell tour…which was my major, I totally could have provided better hospitality!!!  just, “I’m done here.”

Normally, I’d be the one saying, “We’ll figure it out.” Unfortunately, I’m currently without a car myself and trying to sell my house, so my budget and I are no longer on speaking terms.

So here’s where I’m swallowing my pride and asking for a little help.

If you’ve got a little extra to spare, we’d be incredibly grateful. Every contribution, big or small, helps get one hardworking college freshman one step closer to campus—and one step farther from having to explain to professors that her transportation literally died.

I THINK OF LIFE AS A LONG RIVER, if a river stops flowing it becomes stagnant or stale.  I don’t want her life to stop because of a moment where mom couldn’t jump in, or better yet, maybe this is where society takes off, and sink or swim.  She should be out partying and living her best summer. I imagined her being amongst the other living zombies like her peers.  
I almost want to make this about me, and how ky entire life I protected her and nurtured her and now timing is at its worst. i was her to shine!  Please spare some change to watch her change.  Rome did fall in one night, but it takes a village to to come together to achieve realistic goals.  

Who knew the biggest lesson after graduation would be that life loves a plot twist?
