Chmielewski is a well-known name in the community, most commonly for the Chmielewski Christmas Corner, which has brought so much joy to the community for many years! 

Alan, the family patriarch has been quietly battling cancer for several years, and is nothing short of a Fighter!  He has fought this cancer more than once, but it continues to return. In addition to chemo, he is going through an extensive holistic treatment to put it back in remission, but unfortunately insurance doesn’t cover these expenses, which has put the family in constant financial burden.  

Alan is a husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend.  He has continued to work through this aggressive illness to share his joy and holiday cheer with the Bismarck-Mandan community and beyond!  

Many have asked, “How can we help support the Chmielewski family during this trying time?”

There are many ways, whether by sending prayers and healing vibes, donating towards the uncovered medical expenses, or volunteering to help with physical tasks Alan may not have to strength to do (e.g., taking down the Christmas display).  Your contribution, no matter how small, will help Alan access the necessary care to live a healthy, happy, less stressful life and continue the beloved Chmielewski Christmas Corner for years to come!
