Welcome Baby Christopher James Lee Forsman 💙
Born early at 35 weeks on October 24, 2025, at 5:35 PM, weighing 4 lbs 13 oz and 18 inches long — tiny but mighty!
Christopher came into the world with gastroschisis, a condition where his intestines were outside of his body. He was life-flighted to Denver shortly after birth and has already been through three surgeries in his first 24 hours:
1️⃣ An initial surgery to reinsert his intestines (partially successful).
2️⃣ A central line placement so he can receive vital nutrients while his body heals.
3️⃣ A final surgery to successfully place all of his intestines and begin the process of closing and healing.
Thanks to the incredible medical team, the last surgery went well — Christopher is breathing on his own and now focusing on healing until he’s strong enough to eat, which could take 3–6 weeks.
Mom and Dad (Alex and Nevaeh) are by his side in Denver, doing everything they can to stay close to their little fighter. Any amount of support — prayers, kind words, or donations — will help them cover the many unexpected costs of travel, lodging, and care.
Please keep Alex, Nevaeh, and baby Christopher in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this challenging but hopeful journey. 💙
Thank you for your love and support. Every message means the world.
