About this fundraiser

Please help us in our effort to provide chairs to the message church in Glaxo Town, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan Pastored by Brother Akram Roshon. The following is a brief description of the area:

Poverty in Lahore, Pakistan, has worsened due to high inflation, soaring fuel and utility costs, and a vast informal labor market. With national poverty climbing toward 28.9%, low-income households in Lahore struggle with steep housing, food, and basic living expenses. Rising Inflation: Spiraling prices for essentials like wheat, utilities, and fuel have outpaced daily wage increases. [1, 2, 3]

  • Informal Labor: The majority of Lahore’s low-income workforce relies on informal daily-wage jobs (construction, waste scavenging, and local services) that lack legal minimum wage protections or healthcare. [1, 2]
  • Slums and Housing Stress: Roughly 30% of Lahore lives in informal settlements or Katchi Abadis (slums) with limited access to clean water, sanitation, and electricity. [1]
  • Reverse Migration: High urban overhead costs have forced some families to abandon city life in Lahore and return to rural hometowns where expenses are lower. [1]

A word from the Pastor: Hello, my name is Pastor Akram Roshaan. by God's grace we are staring a new church in Glaxo Town. God called me to preach in 2009 and now we are stepping out in faith to reach more people here. We don't have a building yet, so our believers are meeting on the floor to worship. We are believing God for 100 chairs so that so that families and new people can come and sit comfortably to hear the Word. Please keep us in your prayers as we start the new work foe the Lord, God bless you.

We appeal to Bothers and Sisters in Christ to pray for our Bothers and Sisters in Pakistan. Most of these folks don't have the things that we take for granted, a decent home, air conditioning, a car to travel in or a chair to sit on at church. Any donation no matter how small and will be greatly appreciated and the Lord will Bless you. We are looking to raise $2500 for the chairs and $100 for the giveahand.com fees.
