About this fundraiser

Hi everyone,

Let me tell Cynthia Bravo story, she is  a 47-year-old nurse who has spent years caring for others. Today, she is the one who needs help.

In 2023, she never imagined that what felt like a simple gallbladder attack would turn into a life-changing diagnosis. She had a history of gallstones, and when she woke up with soreness, a slight fever, and what she expected would be a routine ER visit, the doctors found something unexpected — a shadow on my liver. That moment led to more imaging, lab work, a hospital admission, and ultimately a biopsy that confirmed cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).

Since then, Cynthia has fought with everything she has.

She began treatment with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and has gone through multiple lines of therapy to keep the cancer under control. She also underwent Y90 liver-directed treatments. Even when treatments were limited or had to be paused, she kept going — because she wants to live, to work, to laugh again, and to be present for the people who love her.

In October 2025, Cynthia faced something no one should have to endure: the cancer metastasized to her brain. She underwent brain surgery, and after the procedure, completed five sessions of radiation. We celebrated the word “clear” — but the fight wasn’t over.

In December 2025, a PET scan revealed that the cancer had progressed again, with metastases to bone and additional areas. She is now navigating a new phase of treatment, including HER2-targeted therapy, and coping with intense side effects: exhausting fatigue, pain in her bones and joints, constipation during treatment weeks, loss of appetite, diminished taste, insomnia, and neuropathy (tingling in her hands and feet). Some days her energy feels like 0–1 out of 10.

And still — she shows up with courage.

Cynthia has a strong faith and a supportive community, but the financial burden of advanced cancer care is crushing. She has been recommended a specialized treatment plan costing $75,000, along with other medical expenses. Despite working hard her entire life, the reality is that finances are now a barrier to the care she needs.

We are raising funds to help cover:

The $75,000 treatment plan plus medical expenses.

Associated medical costs (appointments, labs, imaging, medications)

Supportive care to help her tolerate treatment

Transportation and recovery needs as treatment continues

If you can donate — any amount — you are giving Cynthia something priceless: time, hope, and a fighting chance.

If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page. Sharing is a powerful way to help.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Cynthia in this fight.
