About this fundraiser

I am known as the cat Lady in my neighborhood. Thats because I have voluntarily devoted my spare time to care for feral cats. I trap so that these cats can get spayed or nuetered to help with many things.  Over the last decade, my husband and I ve been through so much. We lost our home and car in the flood of 14, then my mother in laws death to another home lost to a fire we ended up where we are now. The previous homes there were stray cats that i would feed, feeling devestated at what happened i made a commitment to continue to feed them. My only means of transportation is by bicycle but I have made it happen. 2 to 3 miles every single day rain or shine, i started to look into getting the cats fixed and thus started trapping with a lady offiliated with Animal Allies, then it was Everett, now i trap for another volunteer who transports the cats for there surgery. My cart holds 2 traps sometimes three at a time. My few cats i was feeding turned in to several, then a dozen, to several dozen. My max was 90 feral community cats. I go feed them every single day. However the cost has long passed my means and I have had to reach out for help with catfood and some supplies for my mission. I go through a 22lb bag in less than 3 days and roughly 12 cans of wet food each feed. It adds up and honestly i wouldnt know what i would do without the help from the community. So I am trying to reach out further so I dont have to constantly ask for help with catfood as often. I have rescued several and have wound up with 13 cats of my own. Some of which where abandoned at my gate. These two in the picture one was found in the middle of the road and the other rescued from an abusive home at just 2weeks. Sadly in early october distemper hit my neighborhood and between four seperst households including mine 21 cats have died from the disease and 2 of which the vet put down. I lost 3 and the little black and white one was Squish, he was my squushy he died in my arms. So my hope is to raise money for the cats to help with food and supplies such as litter, cleaning supplies, puppy pads for traps, and minor medical first aid and even emergency vets and prescriptions. I cant continue my cause without your help. Please if you can help me help the kitties, it is greatly  appreciated. Thank you and together we can make a world of difference to lives that are overlooked and those abandoned. Feeding and caring for feral community cats has been rewarding in its own way and has been a therapy for me. Theses cats know when its feeding time. They run to greet me even tho 85%of them wont let me touch them. I love being able to make there lives less stressful and I hope you will chose to be a part! Thank You to all!
