In memory of Janet Knippelmier, her favorite charity was her nephew Luke.  Luke was born at 24 weeks of age and spent his first 10mos in 2 different NICUs before being released with a trach, ventilator and gtube.  He has since had tracheal reconstruction performed and is still learning how to talk, walk and effectively communicate.  While his progress has been extraordinary, his AJ had devoted the last couple years of her life focused on providing care for him by taking him to horseback, helping with his therapies and picking him up from school but mainly shopping.  She spent every dollar she had on toys and clothes for him and we think this may be a way to honor her and allow Luke to obtain experiences such as camp and travelling that they had planned but never got to complete.
