About this fundraiser

Our family is navigating an unexpected and challenging season.

On January 14th, my dad, Toney Samples suffered a stroke that has significantly impacted his mobility. He is currently unable to stand on his own and requires intensive rehabilitation to regain strength and independence.

Doctors have explained that the first weeks after a stroke are a critical recovery window, when the brain is most able to relearn through repetition and daily therapy. Because of this, they have strongly recommended inpatient rehabilitation, which provides daily physical and occupational therapy along with medical oversight and safety support.

The cost of this level of care is substantial—approximately $2,000 per day—and comes in addition to mounting hospital expenses. While we are actively pursuing insurance, Medicare, and financial assistance options, the immediate cost of rehab is overwhelming.

We are raising funds to help cover these rehabilitation expenses so my dad can receive the care he needs right now, when it can make the greatest difference in his long-term recovery and quality of life.

Any contribution—large or small—will go directly toward rehab and recovery-related expenses. If you’re unable to give, we are deeply grateful for prayers, encouragement, and for sharing this page with others.

Thank you for standing with our family during this time.
