Our dad Dan Simodi, was born December 13, 1956 and passed away on April 17, 2023 due to complications of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Dan is survived by his wife, Christina Simodi, his brother, Michael Simodi, daughters Elisha Garcia and Danyel Simodi and grandson Isaiah Simodi.
Dan spent a little over 30 years working for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and retired as a nuclear director. He started out as security, then worked his way over to shop 56 as a pipe fitter and then became general foreman. He continued to climb the ladder up to 300N. He helped start the nuclear program in San Diego as a APS. He also served 4 years as a U.S. Marine. Most recently he worked for a local golf course to keep busy and stay active. He worked up until the last week of his life.
Dan loved traveling. He lived in Nevis and Costa Rica, spent several years in Ohio, Washington State, and he spent the last 13 years living in Fountain Hills, Arizona.
For those of you who knew Dan, you already know he had a huge heart for everyone and a great sense of humor! He was very kind generous man. He also loved dogs - he was like the dog whisper! Also he was a great cook! He would make everything from scratch from pasta down to ice cream!
Service plans are being made and we will notify everyone as soon as we have more information.
For Facebook post, I would like this post to serve as a space for anyone that knew my dad to share stories and memories as I’m sure there are many.
We are asking for help to pay attorney fees, travel and a celebration of life for Dan!
