As many of you know, our good friend and favorite bartender, Dan Vaughn, had a near fatal heart attack on December 13, 2024.  As with many bartenders, Dan did not have health insurance.  He has a son, Dan who is in high school and lives with him.  As with all of us, they have monthly bills and food expenses that they will need assistance to handle until Dan is back on his feet.

 He is home now but is unable to work for an extended period of time.  The medical bills are beginning to roll in and I am sure you can imagine how expensive a full week’s hospital stay can be.

Dan and his son “little” Dan, have a long road ahead. To help alleviate the financial stress, we're asking for any support, no matter how small, to help Dan and his son during this difficult time in their lives. 

Lastly, we want to thank the patrons and employees of The Lounge who performed CPR on Dan to keep him alive until the first responders arrived.  We also want to thank the EMT’s and the medical staff at Aspirus for taking care of him while recovering in the hospital.
