Danny Bulldog Zimmerle was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a true pillar of the Azusa community. At just 55 years old, Danny passed away on January 24, 2026, after a very sudden and unexpected cancer diagnosis only two weeks earlier. His passing came as a shock to all who loved him. Danny had already faced years of health challenges related to diabetes, including kidney failure and significant vision loss. Nine years ago, his loving wife Carol gave him the ultimate gift—a kidney donation that allowed Danny to enjoy nearly a decade more with his family and friends. Despite being 80% blind and facing ongoing complications with his feet, Danny never lost his confidence or his ability to be a fantastic friend to everyone he met. 

Through all of his struggles, Danny remained a source of strength and inspiration. He was a stand-up guy who coached and mentored countless young men in the Azusa community for over 35 years. His impact will be felt for generations, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. It was against Danny's wishes to have a GoFundMe, but difficult times require difficult measures. 

As Danny's best friend of 48 years, I, Albert Lovio, created this fundraiser on his behalf to help his beloved wife Carol and their daughter Nadia with funeral expenses and to support them as they navigate the grieving process.
