​Darrick is a devoted father, brother, and friend who is fighting for his life against sudden, severe cirrhosis of the liver. At just 42 years old, he urgently needs a life-saving liver transplant.
​Darrick's Story
​In March 2025, Darrick was diagnosed with severe cirrhosis. This devastating news came at the same age his beloved father tragically passed away in 2006, adding a painful urgency to his current fight.
​Darrick is a loving father to four children, ages 12 to 16. He is known for his big heart—he’s the one who has always offered advice, love, and even financial support to family and friends. For me, he's my "twin," and now it is my honor and duty to fight for him.
​The illness has taken a severe toll. Darrick is horribly sick and was initially advised to move to a nursing home for constant care. He refused, choosing instead to be discharged to his mother's home, where he receives constant supervision and home care. His only lifeline right now is the medication he takes daily.
​The Critical Need and Financial Goal
​The transplant is Darrick’s only chance for survival.
​He has been on the national waiting list for six months, and we are praying for the call to come soon. It could be weeks or a few more months, but we need to be financially prepared when it does.
​The average cost for a liver transplant is staggering. Our goal is to cover the massive financial burden that comes with this surgery, including:
