My dad has Dementia and Alzhimers he has to have 24 hour care and assistance. The cost for this is assistance at the minimum is $6000. per month. During this year March 2024 through now, we've dwindled the savings whole trying to get through the red tape of the system for assistance.  My dad qualifies for Attendance and Aid through the VA. However we have not received any funds from this to offset some of the cost. He would qualify for Medicaid, but none of the facilities that he needs to be in accept this form of payment. Through the social security and the VA pension he brings in half of the monthly care cost. Those monthly funds along with the funds we raise would help extend his time receiving the medical care needed.
