Hello my name is Brittnay/Star, I've been suffering with teeth issues since I was in 8th grade, now at almost 31 its gotten to the point that I need to take serious action. A combination of medicine , depression and osteoporosis has destroyed my teeth. I am on disability and while insurance will cover standard dentures, I am autistic and with that for me comes a multitude of sensory issues which includes not being able to handle denture paste/glue/adhesive into my mouth and with my gag reflex I can not handle putting things into my mouth like that, I've discussed my options with multiple dentist . Unfortunately dental implants are considered cosmetic and my insurance will not cover anything but the extractions which I'm still grateful for. Standard dentures also break easy and limit the things you can eat. I've dealt with countless infections ,abscessed teeth and pain in general for years. I fear its effecting my health as a whole since its gone on so long. Getting my teeth fixed would not only help me live more pain free but would also boost my confidence so much i have learned to talk with my mouth mostly closed i refuse to smile showing any teeth, i miss who i use to be, i miss my smile.
