Derrick & Fynn have been working incredibly hard to get everything together to make a fantastic new start for themselves in a new city in Massachusetts; doing their best as they both struggle with health issues - Derrick fought hard and got his license!  Started out strong and was doing fantastic getting themselves set up to move!  Me ( aunt Amanda) was cheering them on - helping them make huge strides as well. Unfortunately the first car they had was in an accident and was totaled - Chad - Derricks dad helped them get a replacement quickly and we were all set!  I was going to lead the way to Mass on Friday and carry some of their belongings while they followed and we were ready to go!! So excited for such an amazing trip and move. Unfortunately- suddenly their car caught fire on Fynns side - they quickly pulled over and GLADLY everyone leapt from the car.  I grabbed both of them as I called 911- the car just went up in flames seconds later.  I just held Fynn as he cried and cried. I just kept crying and apologizing that I could not believe it. So thankful my two “children”, that I adore and love and just am so happy to have as part of my life and family are alive. But they lost EVERYTHING.- gladly the fire fighters were able to retrieve Fynns cats ashes. That meant the world.
