I’m a single mother with 4 children. I spent most of my life working as a Paramedic but had to give it up due to injuries and prolonged illness. As a result, I subsequently had to sell my home being unable to keep up with bills and the upkeep. I am 44 years old and applied for disability benefits but have been denied multiple times as is the normal procedure. During the 4 years that I applied and reapplied for disability benefits, I have struggled immensely to provide for my children. I have struggled to receive medical treatment that will provide any amount of relief from pain ‘however, due to the obvious need  and responsibility to provide for my kids, I have continued to suffer and struggle to work. As a result, I’ve obviously missed an enormous amount of time away from work thus reducing my take home pay. My two youngest children aged 14 and 17 have been forced to move in with my mother. Thankfully I have two children who are grown and live independently. I have even been blessed with a beautiful granddaughter who recently turned two and an incredible daughter in law. I’m asking for any assistance because although my youngest children and I technically reside at my mother’s address, my daughter and I are living in a shed that was once my stepfather’s man cave. She and I share a bed, we have no running water in here, no sink, toilet, or shower. We must walk into the house to shower, use the toilet, brush our teeth, and cook anything not microwaveable. I have been so blessed to have been hired as a mail carrier with the USPS and I’m incredibly excited and grateful. However, my kids and I have been at my mother’s house for almost 2 years. My only daughter will be graduating from high school in May of 2025. My granddaughter has never spent a single night with her Nana and I am asking for your help to give my children a home to come home to. Their own bedrooms to feel comfortable in, our own kitchen to cook in together and a dining room for family dinners again. A place where I can bring my only granddaughter to spend special occasions with her Nana and Aunt Riri and Uncle JoJo. Thank you for any help and may God Bless you and yours.
