About this fundraiser

Edna was a pillar in all of our lives. For so many she was Mother, Tia, Abuelita, Sister, Friend. She brought life and fun into every room that she was a part of. She challenged us all to be our best and live with dignity and honor. And up until the very end, she did it her way.

Because she was so loved by so many, the family has received many generous requests to be allowed to “do something” in order to honor Edna. To that end, for those of you who would like to help support the fulfillment of her final wishes, we have created the Edna‘s “Farewell Tour“ link.

As most know, Edna did not want a “funeral”, but wanted everyone to celebrate the life she lived. She asked that her cremains be transported back to Panama, and that a small part of her be left in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Mediterranean oceans; she was a global citizen and always wanted to see and travel the world, even posthumously.  All monies raised here will be used to help her girls take their Mamasan on her final journey to different corners of the globe to fulfill her request. This is not a traditional fundraiser with a set goal (which she would have hated!), but rather a space for those of you have asked for a way to contribute in some fashion.

From her girls:  Thank you so much for your prayers, love and support. It means more than we will ever be able to say. We love you all so very much, and Mamasan did too.
