Hello, my name is Hannah. I’m a 35-year-old mother of three, currently embarking on an exciting yet challenging journey as a college student for the first time. In April 2024, I learned that I am progressively losing my hearing and will be profoundly deaf in the coming years. This diagnosis has inspired me to pursue higher education not only to learn sign language but also to build a brighter future for myself and my children.

Returning to school while raising three kids and managing household responsibilities is demanding. Unfortunately, I don’t qualify for financial assistance, which means I am responsible for covering all costs associated with my education and living expenses.

I am determined to succeed and show my children that with perseverance and hard work, we can overcome any obstacle.
