Hello, my name is Alie. All my life, I was employed full-time, taking care of everything on my own, helping my family and friends in times of need. In February 2024, my rotator cuff on my right shoulder ruptured and tore completely, causing mandatory surgery. It has been very painful and truly difficult to even try to raise my right arm to a normal level. It is a work comp claim that the insurance denied in May because they had the wrong body area on their claim.

I am on government assistance for food and basic health but not financial, I don’t qualify. I am behind in my rent, electricity, doctors that don’t accept traditional Medicaid, transportation, and various needs. I am having the surgery at the end of September or October. I also have 2 grandchildren (8yr & 3yr) that fill me with happiness when I see them. The regular agencies to help can’t because I have no firm way to pay for myself later on - next month or two. This is a situation where I will lose my home and everything.
