It seems if there wasn't bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck. Fortunately now that I'm in my 40s every thing is coming around. I'm a special education assistant (Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, nonverbal) working on my degree to be a special education teacher. This is something I've dreamt of doing since I had my daughter with special needs nineteen years ago. While working, going to school and taking care of my kiddos I also help other special needs parents. I help them learn to advocate for their children. I help give them a chance to recharge by watching their children without them having to worry if someone is truly caring for their child. I do all this while I felt myself take the back burner. I recently was diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure. I'm making the changes to care better for myself, but the medicine can be expensive. On top of that my vehicle needs a new transmission. I use this vehicle to get to work, take care of my kids and help others. Without it, I can't do any of those things. I'm asking for help for funds to repair my vehicle. If I can get it back up and running, then I can continue on my path until I finish school in two years and can upgrade and pay it forward myself.
