my father, Stanislaw Stopka, passed away on 6/29/2025 at home.

we were not prepared for his passing, he was healthy and active.

with his passing we will also be working with a lawyer for the house, he did not leave a will. With the holiday being the same weekend, I could not get in contact with his Union for funeral assistance or if he had a life insurance policy.

I’ve contacted multiple charities with news majority do not offer financial assistance anymore rather emotional support.

If I am able to reach my goal by Monday 7/7/025 , I am hoping to have a evening memorial service added on for more loved ones to say farewell

Currently I have a funeral with morning visitation, and burial arrangements. 7/8/2025 at Damar- Kaminski Funeral Home in Justice IL. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice IL, it’s located behind the funeral home. His plot was bought during my mom’s passing and he will be buried along side his wife, our mom. Unfortunately when we bought the plot, we were not informed we could prepay for the ground vault and that cost was added on to expenses.

the funeral and cemetery expenses are due the morning of the service and they do not have payment plans or other options.

I was hoping I could find a way to gather expenses before making a donate page

minimally we need 12k by Tuesday. The remaining 6k was added in hopes of an additional visitation and a Headstone, also help with lawyer/court fees/ mortgage. With my dads passing his social security checks and union pension is cut, those were used directly for mortgage payments with additional funds from Me
