I am trying to raise funds so that I will have a fair fight against a morbid condition that I have already fought in the past. However, in the past we didn't catch it this early, and the medical care I needed was profound and extensive. But I had extremely good medical insurance. 

My surgeon had the nerve to say to me, “if you had not had such good insurance your outcome would have been very different!”

So now here I am with the same thing I've fought before, Osteomyelitis and Cellulitis, but caught much earlier. I'm not in full blown sepsis, and this time it is in my finger where I have two breaks. The pain is diabolical. and I've already put out several prayer requests but then it dawned on me the doctor's statement about not having good insurance would have affected my outcome badly and I sit here on Medicaid. 

The last time my medical treatment was in excess of$600,000. That included 18 days in the intensive care unit and six weeks on a picc line afterwards, and involved four surgeries in three months as well as a blood transfusion.

 While I'm not anticipating anything near that because it was caught early I do need to try to raise funds to cover anything that Medicaid is not going to approve, and one of those would be surgery for a debridement if the antibiotics don't settle this down. I was going over my hospital summary from the ER visit two nights ago and found this little note on my record: “Patient presents with a problem that potentially represents a highly morbid condition with a possible threat to life.”

I am a fighter! I am trained in trauma informed advocacy. and I have recently been working on furthering my  education through University of Maryland and Harvard on marketing, entrepreneurship, and the art of rhetoric for public speaking. Between the two types of education I have achieved 24 verified certificates.

And though I am on disability for a crippling form of arthritis called ankylosing spondylitis, I had already decided that I was not going to let a condition Take Me Out of the program. So I've been busy making guided journals, therapy art coloring books and poetry compilations. I designed a preschool curriculum. and I'm currently pursuing a remote position with a company that trains and works with artificial intelligence,  to teach AI to be more empathic to humans. 

I'm not ready to leave this earth and have no intention of doing so. I have much to accomplish still. 

Would you please help me raise the funding to secure whatever medical procedures I might need, and what is not used for that will go towards helping me survive as I continue my efforts to be self sufficient. Currently I'm surviving on $600 a month disability, so I use the word “survive” loosely! Ha ha ha. I stand in my integrity, and plan to help others in profound ways,  especially women and children who have been abused in family violence. 

I believe my purpose on Earth is to be a lived experience advocate with Trauma Informed training, helping women and children regain their agency.
