Hi my name is Alexabdra Rae Turk. I am 36 , single mother to to 3 beautiful children. I am asking for help dude to my teeth. 3 years back i had my top teeth crowned to help keep my teeth in good shape. I have Periodontitis A serious gum infection that damages gums and can destroy the jawbone. Its pretty bad on my bottom gums and has started on my top gums.
My dad had it pretty bad and most if not all his teeth where bridges or crows or inplants.. my teeth are to the point they are so brittle they are snaping off at the middle of the tooth and breaking the crown off. I was told by 2 different dentist that the best option for me at 36 is to get dentures. They recommend the fixed dentures because im still young.
With that comes an extreme cost. I have medacaid but they do basic dentures.. from what I was told is they generally dont fit right and some people loose the ability to chew and or talk right. My teeth hurt reall bad.
getting them taken out would improve my over all health and mental health.. and probably get rid of some or most of my migraines.
Fixed dentures, also known as implant-supported dentures or permanent dentures, are a long-term solution for replacing missing teeth. Unlike traditional removable dentures, fixed dentures are anchored to dental implants surgically placed in the jawbone, making them more stable and secure.
Key features of fixed dentures:
Implant-supported:
They are attached to dental implants, which act as artificial tooth roots, providing a strong and stable foundation.
Non-removable:
Fixed dentures are permanently attached to the implants and cannot be removed by the patient for cleaning or maintenance.
Natural feel and function:
They are designed to look, feel, and function like natural teeth, allowing for improved chewing and speaking.
Improved stability and confidence:
Fixed dentures offer greater stability and security compared to removable dentures, eliminating concerns about slippage or movement during daily activities.
Enhanced aesthetics:
They can be crafted to closely resemble natural teeth, improving a patient's smile and overall appearance.
Pros of fixed dentures:
Enhanced stability and chewing ability:
They provide a strong and stable base for chewing, allowing patients to enjoy a wider variety of foods.
Improved speech:
Fixed dentures can improve speech clarity and articulation compared to loose-fitting removable dentures.
Convenience and comfort:
They eliminate the need for denture adhesives and the hassle of removing and cleaning dentures daily.
Bone preservation:
Dental implants can help stimulate the jawbone, preventing bone loss that can occur with missing teeth.
I would love to eat real food agian. Right now i stick to soft foods so my teeth and crowns stay in place..
Thank you all from the bottom of my little family's heart. We are super blessed with each and every one of you.
