My mom, Sonya, was diagnosed with lung cancer in February 2023. She has gone to all the doctors appointments and did all the chemo treatments that were suggested. While she has been undergoing treatment, I was unable to keep my job in order to take her to appointments and take care of her at home. In spite of all that, the doctor informed my family that there is nothing else they can do to fight the cancer. They have given her a few months left to live.
