It’s my turn to lean on the power of community. My amazing daughter and I deserve peace—not abuse. But without legal help, it’s nearly impossible to secure the court-ordered custody and child support we need.

I work hard and provide for Solomia, yet her father refuses to contribute, choosing instead to support his new family. Moving on from a marriage is one thing; financially abandoning your child is another.

Because assistance programs look only at income and ignore debt and financial abuse, I don’t qualify for help—even as I struggle with mounting bills. I’ve tried to handle the divorce and custody process myself, but I’ve learned that without an attorney it’s almost impossible.

I’m a proud Ukrainian who became a U.S. citizen through perseverance and hard work. I have no family nearby to turn to, only hope and determination. Your support will help me hire a lawyer and finally obtain a custody and child-support order to protect Solomia’s future.
