IOF Destruction of Biddu Children’s Park (Nov 13)

For twelve beautiful years…On top of a quiet mountain in the small Palestinian town of Biddu…
There stood a sanctuary.  A place where children could laugh freely.  Where families could breathe… even if just for a moment.  Where the hardships of daily life in the West Bank felt a little lighter.  Where sunsets painted the skies… And joy lived in the sound of swings, slides, and small footsteps running through the grass.

This wasn’t just a park.  It was a glimmer of hope.  It was healing for the children.

But today everything changed.

Occupation forces entered Biddu.  And in just a few hour A place that took years of love to build, a place that held the laughter of thousands of children was bulldozed to the ground.

The trees… gone.
The swing sets… crushed.
The 1.5 acres of community joy… erased.

And the children…  They stood there.  Watching their safe place, their one escape
being destroyed in front of their eyes.

Imagine explaining to a child why their happy place was taken away.
Why their laughter was silenced.
Why the world feels so unfair.
 
We cannot and we will not stand idle.
Not when these children are depending on us.
Not when their smiles deserve to return.
Not when a community is grieving the loss of something so pure.

There are good people in this world…People who care.
People who believe that Palestinian children deserve joy, safety, and childhood.

 
Lets send a message to these kids that they are not forgotten.
That their happiness matters and that the world sees them.

We will rebuild 
Piece by piece.
Swing by swing.
Smile by smile.
Let’s bring hope back to the hilltop of Biddu.
