Melvin Phillips Sr. was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew him. Earlier this year, Melvin was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Despite his courage and faith, his health declined rapidly over the past few months. His devoted wife lovingly became his full-time caregiver, choosing to be by his side and provide comfort through every moment.

In the early morning hours of November 1, 2025, Melvin peacefully transitioned at home, surrounded by love. Unfortunately, his wife recently discovered that his burial insurance had lapsed just two months before his passing. This unexpected hardship has added a heavy financial burden during an already heartbreaking time.
