About this fundraiser

Sherman Mote Jr past away on Saturday December 13 of 2025. He was at East Alabama medical center for 300 days between 2024 and 2025. He was admitte into the hospita with pneumoni, as well as copd and sever back pain due to bone spurs. We finally got him accepted into a nursing home in Georgia, that accepted him in his condition. He was there a little bit over a month when things turn for the worse. He had 5 kids. Chad, Vanessa, William, Joe, and myself. I was nominate with gaurdianship of him in his finsl days. He had no assets, no life insurance. I was able to get him on medicaid and short term disability. Medcaid will help some, but we fee like we are being pushed towards cremation. We would like to have him buried near his mom. Any help would be appreciated.
