My family and I are trying to raise money for medical expenses for my sister Gina. She was born premature and diagnosed with ROP(retinopath of premature), she only had a 5% chance of survival and had to have a heart and lung bypass at birth. Gina survived all this but due to the ROP she was blind in one eye. She had to undergo many surgeries during her life and due to all the trauma and scar tissue she developed Glaucoma, which caused severe pain and pressure in her eye. The eye had to be removed on December 16, 2024, the surgery went well. On January 15th Gina received a letter saying her insurance would not cover the cost of the prosthetic lens to be made. It's hard to ask for help when we need it, so many of us suffer in silence. I say no more suffering, So now I ask for help from friends, distant family, strangers, anyone. Any donation amount would greatly be appreciated.
