About this fundraiser

Asher is one of those kids who leaves a mark on everyone he meets.

He is gentle, deeply loving, and endlessly curious — especially when it comes to animals. From dogs and cats to bugs and reptiles, Asher connects to the world through kindness and wonder.

Asher has been part of the Blanco community since birth. He is known and loved by his teachers, classmates, and neighbors — not because he’s loud or flashy, but because his heart is pure.

Two years ago, Asher was non-verbal and navigating the world in silence. Through consistent neurological care, therapy, and medication — care that is not optional, but essential — he has made extraordinary progress. Today, Asher is partially verbal and considered high-functioning autistic. His growth has been life-changing.

Currently, Asher receives $5,000 per year through a grant to cover his neurologist visits, treatment, and medications. That funding has allowed him to thrive — but with resources tightening and uncertainty ahead, that support may not continue.

This fund exists for one reason:

to make sure Asher’s progress does not stop because of finances.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward:

  • Neurology appointments
  • Ongoing treatment
  • Medication that supports communication, regulation, and learning

This is not about charity — it’s about continuity of care. When a child is making progress, you don’t pull the ladder away.

If you’ve ever met Asher, taught him, waved at him in town, or watched him light up around animals — this is a way to give back to a child who gives so much love to the world simply by being himself.

Thank you for giving a hand to Asher — and helping him keep moving forward.
