About this fundraiser

I remember the first time I saw Kolton. He was about 3 hours old and it was love at first sight for us—an instant bond forged not just by the warmth of acceptance and understanding. But life took an unexpected turn when his parents had to move away due to unforeseen circumstances, leaving him far from the school that truly understood and nurtured his needs.

You see, our nephew has ADHD, a challenge he copes with every day. His last school was not just his second home—it was his fortress of resilience where he thrived under the expert care of teachers who believed in him. When his parents moved away, so did their support system. The new school environment couldn't provide that crucial extra layer of assistance our little hero needed to flourish.

We felt helpless as we watched him struggle—not just with academics but also grappling silently with feelings of isolation and frustration. It broke our hearts to see the spark in his eyes dim when faced with daily challenges he was ill-equipped to handle alone.

That’s why, despite living on limited incomes ourselves, we need to get him into our home. We promised them that here, under our care, he would find support—the kind of support and understanding that ignites the flame of confidence in a child like ours.

We are asking for your help because we want to give him the best chance at success, not just as his guardians but also as people who love him deeply. We need assistance with a down payment on a home—a place where he can feel safe and celebrated for every small victory. This is about more than bricks and mortar; it's our commitment to ensure that despite life’s curveballs, we are the solid foundation beneath him as he grows into his potential.

Your support could mean not just a roof over our nephew’s head but also security in knowing there are people out here who believe in second chances—who understand that every child deserves their own version of happily ever after. It’s about creating an environment where we can continue to offer love, guidance, and the stability he needs to shine brightly without fear or hindrance.

So, if you find yourself moved by this story of a little boy who just wants to be understood—if his smile tugs at your heartstrings like it does ours—we invite you to join us in making that dream possible. Your kindness is not merely financial; it’s the fuel that drives our belief and their hope forward.

Thank you for being part of this journey, from one home-maker to another. Together, we can show a child what real support looks like—and maybe even change lives along the way.
