The funds raised here will go to the family of Guy Hinton Winsor to help with the funding of a memorial service, that will be announced at a later date, and to pay for any necessary expenses in his absence.

Guy Hinton Winsor, affectionately known as Goon Boy, passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 70 in Waterloo, Iowa. He was born on October 3, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Goon Boy was a loving, romantic, and creative soul. He had a passion for art, music, and storytelling, which he shared with those around him. With a great sense of humor, Goon Boy was known for his lovable and goofy personality.

Guy is survived by his partner, Linda Matthias, and his ex-wife, Janet Eicke. He is also survived by his step-son, Chant (Risa Dotson) Eicke, and his children, Kaya Winsor and Camory (Justin) Bergen. He leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Escher Eicke, Hugo Winsor, Yara Winsor, Gaius Bergen, and Eliora Bergen. He is also survived by his siblings: Mark (Tracy) Winsor, Nancy (Wayne) McDermott, Eric (Terri) Winsor, Judy (Dennis) Hentges, Rich Winsor, and Jenny (Carrie) Winsor. Additionally, he had numerous beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Winsor, his father, Dick Winsor, and his sibling, Therese "Tweet" Winsor.

In his free time, Goon Boy enjoyed indulging in his hobbies, including his love for cats, art, jazz, golf, gardening, and "fitzing", as he liked to put it. These interests brought him joy and allowed him to express his creativity.

Goon Boy will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
