Imagine missing the most important moments in your loved ones' lives. That's the agonizing reality I'm facing. After losing my mother-in-law, stepmother-in-law, and father, my family is facing new challenges. My daughter needs major surgery after battling brain cancer, and my two incredible grandsons are graduating high school - one heading to medical school on a scholarship, driven to cure the disease that afflicted his mother, and the other a baseball captain who stepped up to care for his siblings amidst unimaginable hardship. I desperately need to be there for all of them, to celebrate their triumphs and support them through the surgery. I live 875 miles away, and my disabled husband and I have no way to get there on our own. Please, help us be present for these pivotal moments. Your kindness will mean the world to our family.
