Dear Family, Friends, and Kind Strangers,      

It is with a heavy heart that Marco and I announce the passing of our mother, Agnes Ellen Flowers, who left us on June 1st, 2026.  Ellen (we're referring to her as Ellen since she hated her first name) was born on July 3rd, 1958. Ellen was a deeply loyal friend who cherished the people in her life. Those who knew her well will always remember her love for life's simple pleasures—whether she was getting lost in a great movie or turning up the volume to listen to her favorite oldies music.  Ellen lived a life filled with her own unique stories, and we want to honor her time on this earth. Although family dynamics can be complex, and while she wasn't always the traditional mothering type to my older brother and me, she was still our mother. No matter the challenges of the past, we believe it is our responsibility and our final duty as her children to honor her memory and celebrate the life she lived.  Every life has a story, and we want to ensure her final chapter is closed with dignity and respect. 

As we navigate this loss, we are faced with the unexpected financial responsibilities of arranging her final farewell. We have organized this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her cremation services, and related memorial expenses. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for my brother and I as we fulfill this duty.
