Our dear sister Heather Burnham has been fighting fiercely for justice in Palestine for several years and helping lead the Coalition Against Genocide, while hiding the pain and health problems she has been facing.  Enormous medical bills have been building up.

Since childhood, Heather has dealt with multiple medical issues, which caused much pain, but could not be treated or diagnosed properly. It has progressed, causing debilitating pain related to ovarian and breasts cysts (lipoma), ulcers, gallbladder inflammation, severe migraines, and undiagnosed excruciating pain that has caused her to pass out numerous times. 

The medical diagnosis is not yet fully determined, because she has not had the funds or insurance to see the doctors and take the tests that are essential. The funds raised through this fundraiser will help her with past and future medical bills, as well as help her secure appointments with specialists and pay for potential treatments and surgery. 

She now has been able to find low-cost insurance to assist with some of the future costs, but up until now, she has been working full-time — often 12-hour days — providing child care and supplementing with dog walking. Her jobs do not provide health insurance, so everything has been out-of-pocket.

Heather needs the funds asap because many of her healthcare bills are overdue, and the medical issues are growing more severe day by day. The support of her friends and community will make all the difference in the world — pain and illness is extremely isolating, and she has hidden her conditions from most people, while she takes the lead in numerous organizations fighting for peace, justice and humanity.
