April is one of the many unhoused humans here in Reno, NV. She is a product of a lifetime of abuse at the hands of men, and until recently, believed she didn't matter in this world.

She is overly caring, empathetic, always willing to help….but she desperately needs our help right now.

She is trying desperately to get into a program to get help for mental health issues from lifelong abuse, to stay clean, and medical help for the multitude of health conditions that come with years of abuse, childhood neglect and lack of self worth (which we're working on!).

But right now she is not doing well. She has been in and out of the hospital, but they never keep her so she can fully get better, and she is just getting more run down.

I want to get her a hotel room for as long as I can; so she can really rest, take care of herself, get out of the elements, and just heal physically a bit. We are early in the queue to get into transitional housing; but right now her need for a real bed, a warm room and some rest where she's not hypervigilant about strange men around her would help her physically/mentally/psychologically.
