About this fundraiser

Robert Jenkins’ Story.

Around the Fourth of July, Robert Jenkins noticed something felt off. Swallowing had become difficult—not painful at first, just uncomfortable. Like many of us would, he brushed it off, assuming it was something minor that would pass.

By September 29th, the issue hadn’t gone away. Robert had his first scope at the GF Clinic and was told it was “just a cyst.” No biopsy was done, and he left believing everything was okay.

But it wasn’t.

As Thanksgiving approached, swallowing became harder—impossible to ignore. Concerned, Robert went to the emergency room. From there, his primary care doctor pushed for answers and rushed another scope at Benefis.

That scope was done in mid-December. On December 19th, Robert received the news that would change everything.

He has a tumor nearly four inches long at the bottom of his esophagus.

Cancer doesn’t arrive loudly. Sometimes it whispers—quiet symptoms, delayed answers, and months of uncertainty before the truth finally comes into focus. By the time Robert had clarity, he was already facing a long road ahead.

The Fight Ahead

Robert’s treatment plan is aggressive—and necessary.

  • Four rounds of chemotherapy, every two weeks
  • Two rounds of immunotherapy alongside chemo, designed to train his body to recognize and attack the cancer cells
  • A surgical consult on February 17th

If the chemo and immunotherapy shrink the tumor completely, surgery may not be necessary. If not, surgery will take place in Kalispell after the first four rounds of chemo.

Regardless of surgery, the journey continues:

  • Four additional rounds of chemotherapy
  • Monthly immunotherapy for the next two years

This is not a short battle. It’s physically exhausting, emotionally overwhelming, and financially heavy

Why We’re Asking for Support

Robert is facing several months of treatment, travel, recovery, and time away from normal life. No one should have to fight cancer and worry about how they’ll afford the fight at the same time

This fundraiser is about lifting that burden.

It’s about showing up for someone who didn’t ask for this. It’s about community, hope, and giving Robert the space to focus on healing.

Every donation—big or small—makes a difference.

Every share helps.

Every prayer, message, and act of support matters more than you know.

Thank you for standing with the Jenkins family as they takes this on—one treatment, one day, one step at a time. 🤍
