In July of 2024, August noticed holes forming in her back molars, likely caused by her GERD and rampant acid reflux she was suffering from. Fast forward to December of 2025, properly insured and able to receive dental treatment for her teeth, she went to the dentist and learned she'd need extensive work done. So, on December 19th, she went back in and got around 6 fillings done on the right side of her mouth. 

Despite being in pain from those first fillings, she went back in on the 22nd to get around 4 fillings on the left side of her mouth done and to get a “foreign debris” removed from her gumline between her bottom molars on the right side of her mouth.

August was informed that the pain would disappear after some time and she would feel better, but this reality never came. August was in pain. Lots of pain. So, she went to a second dentist, where she learned she'd need multiple crowns placed. She got those crowns done (after paying around $4.2k for them) and then later learned she developed pulpitis in one of her top right molars. This bout of pulpitis sent her to the Emergency Room. She stopped eating. She had to take two weeks off work dedicated to recovery and pain management.

Now, August needs THREE root canals totaling around $1,035 for the treatment. This is money that August and Brian don't have. They're concerned they'll need to spend more, which is why the goal is set a little higher than actually needed. 

August is in a lot of pain and just wants this to be over with. Please donate so that August can have the funds to receive her dental work and begin recovery.
