My name is Cassandra Stead, and I am reaching out for my dear friend Elena Miller, a brave survivor of domestic violence. Elena has done everything to protect her two young children—a non-verbal three-year-old son with special needs and an infant daughter.

Her restraining order against her ex-husband expires soon, and she faces the terrifying reality of having nowhere safe to go. Because she provides 24/7 care for her children, Elena currently has no income and is waiting on a slow legal system for child support.

We have lowered our goal to $15,000 to focus strictly on the most immediate, life-saving needs for Elena and her babies. Every dollar will go toward:

Securing a Safe Apartment: Approximately $5,500 for the first month's rent and a double security deposit (often required for those without recent income history).

Essential Utilities & Moving: $1,500 to set up electricity, water, and basic furniture for the kids.

Survival Fund: $8,000 to cover 4 months of groceries, diapers, and specialized therapy tools for her non-verbal son while she transitions to a stable life.
