Latest update as of Dec 24, 2025

  • Merry Christmas!!

Emily and Andrew are beyond thankful for the generosity from friends and family all over! They just feel taken care of and held by God. Words don't describe the level gratitude that they feel during this season. With tears in their eyes they say, "thank you" to everyone who's blessed them in any way.

They wanted to provide an update as well:

Emily says the tingling is leaving her legs and feet, and she's getting around better. She is no longer nauseous from radiation and feels hungry! The medications and supplements seem to be improving her breathing and energy! She is very thankful.

Her prayer request is for her right lung that is slightly collapsed and not functioning well & painful. Praying for a miracle for God to breathe life back into her lung and expand it back into normal function. Prayers for all the tumors to disappear 🙏🏼as always!

They love you all and are wishing each of you a Christmas full of connection with those you love while remembering the joy from the hope we have from receiving Jesus into our hearts. ❤️

    Merry Christmas!!

About this fundraiser

In June 2024, Emily began experiencing severe lower-back pain that persisted despite ongoing chiropractic care and at times made it difficult for her to walk. An X-ray in February 2025 revealed a fracture in her L5 vertebra, and an MRI confirmed the fracture along with significant bone demineralization. Follow-up CT scans at Parkview Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN supported these findings and raised concern for a possible underlying medical cause.

Seeking clarity and healing, Emily and Andrew turned to prayer and guidance. Through a connection with Dr. Josh Axe, Emily was referred to a functional medicine clinic in Atlanta, where she began receiving vitamin IV therapy, hyperbaric oxygen treatments, infrared sauna therapy, and extensive testing for metals, parasites, cancer cells, tumors, and viruses. Early bloodwork showed promising signs of improvement with no concerns for cancer. Emily has since remained fully committed to strengthening and healing her body.

In recent months, however, Emily’s pain increased rapidly, leading to hospitalization for two weeks of intensive testing and five days of radiation. Following these evaluations, the head oncologist at the Cleveland Clinic diagnosed Emily with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma affecting her lungs, spine, and bones. While the cancer is inoperable, testing revealed a specific genetic mutation that allows for a targeted therapy designed to shrink the tumors—treatment expected to bring Emily quick relief, for which her family is deeply grateful.

Although modern medicine has emphasized the seriousness of this diagnosis in echoing “buying time”, Emily and her family are holding firmly to faith, hope, and the belief in complete healing. While she moves forward with targeted treatment, Emily will also continue exploring alternative medicine, functional oncology, and complementary therapies. These combined efforts—including the targeted cancer therapy, hospital stays, specialized appointments, supplements, Vitamin IV's 3x a week, mistletoe injections, and other treatments not covered by insurance—have created a significant financial strain.

Many people have asked how they can support Emily during this time. The greatest needs are prayer and financial support. Prayers are requested for wisdom, the right medical team, effective treatment, and total healing in Emily’s body. Emily has an entire life ahead of her—full of purpose, joy, and love—and her family remains steadfast in believing and fighting for her full recovery.

As Emily, Andrew, and their daughter Sunny continue forward, this fundraiser has been created to help relieve the financial burden of treatment and ongoing care. Emily’s sister, Erica, will share updates so friends and supporters can follow her journey and celebrate progress along the way. Your support, in every form, means more than words can express.
