I'm reaching out today with a heartfelt request for support for Joyce Chai-Hong. As many of you may remember, Joyce was an integral part of our family for many years and helped raise our children. After 2 decades of applying for citizenship, Joyce's last application has been denied. She needs to leave the US and return to her country by May 19, 2026, or face serious deportation consequences. Joyce spent tens of thousands of dollars on multiple lawyers, but despite these professional efforts, her sponsorships and applications were unsuccessful. The arduous process and large out-of-pocket legal expenses have drained her financially and emotionally.

After many years of hard work, dedication, and care for others, she is devastated to have to leave her son and is being forced to start over with extremely limited to no resources. This fund has been created to help provide resources for her to rebuild her life in Trinidad. The funds raised will go toward essential needs such as housing, transportation, food, and other basic expenses that will help her regain stability and independence. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
