Urgent Aid for Gaza: Adapting to Crisis, Delivering Lifeline Support

Our mission at Sudki's Kitchen has always been to provide vital food and sustenance to the vulnerable communities in Gaza. We established our field kitchen with immense hope and the unwavering support of donors like you.

However, the current situation on the ground, specifically the severe restrictions by the Israeli government preventing essential food and supplies from entering Gaza, has made it impossible for us to successfully operate our field kitchen as intended. The very resources we need to cook and distribute meals are simply not getting through.

This heartbreaking reality means we cannot use your donations for direct kitchen operations right now. But the need for aid is more urgent than ever.

Therefore, we are adapting our strategy to ensure your generosity still reaches those in desperate need. Funds raised will now be directed towards three ends:

Supporting trusted local partners: We will allocate funds to pre-vetted, on-the-ground organizations that are still able to provide assistance, even if in limited capacities, focusing on emergency relief.

Pre-positioning supplies for future access: As soon as humanitarian corridors open, we aim to quickly distribute bulk food and essential supplies we are holding in next-door Jordan, bypassing immediate supply chain issues.

Supporting displaced families with direct cash assistance (where feasible and safe): Allowing families to purchase what little is available locally or to cover urgent needs like temporary shelter.

Every dollar raised will be held securely and used for the most impactful and ethical aid possible, always prioritizing the immediate needs of the people of Gaza. We commit to providing regular updates on how these funds are being utilized and the challenges we face. Your support, in whatever form it takes, remains a beacon of hope in this dire time.

Committed to delivering aid, always with your support,

The Sudki’s Kitchen Team

RAMADAN FUNDRAISING SUMMARY - 2025

Thanks to your generosity, Sudki's Kitchen is now serving Iftar meals in Gaza, a lifeline for families facing unimaginable hardship this Ramadan. But the need is far greater than one kitchen can meet.

Our goal: Launch a second kitchen to double our capacity and bring nourishment and hope to even more people.

Sudki’s Kitchen is currently serving Iftar to approximately 2,200 people each day in North Gaza, in the city of Shejaiya, at Ibn Haitham School. The field kitchen is named in honor of Sudki Abdullah, a Palestinian refugee who built a thriving business in Chicago but never forgot his homeland. Now, in his name, we are carrying forward his legacy of feeding others in their time of need.

Your donations have already made a real difference - allowing us to serve protein-rich meals, a crucial source of nourishment. But with your help, we can do even more.

Every dollar goes directly toward meals. Please donate and share. Let’s double our impact and bring relief to more families this Ramadan.

With deep gratitude,

The Sudki’s Kitchen Team

ORIGINAL FUNDRAISING SUMMARY - 2024:

Imagine feeding 2,500 dignified Palestinians a day right now in the heart of southern Gaza.

We can achieve this with your support by building and supplying a new field kitchen in Rafah - a lifeline amidst desperation - brought to life by a collaborative vision between Cedars & Pious Projects.

Cedars’ founder Sudki Abdullah was a displaced Palestinian refugee. His life mission was to feed as many human beings as possible while alive.

We carry his torch into Gaza, silencing hunger & reigniting hope. In his honor, we name this Gaza field kitchen “Sudki’s Kitchen.”

With your generous support, we're embarking on a mission to provide 75,000 meals in April to those in need. Every donation, no matter how small, fuels our aim to feed 2,500 people daily.

Stand with us. Stand with compassion. Let's rewrite the story of Gaza together, 1 meal at a time.
