  • ❤️ Our Mom is HOME !!!! ❤️

After a very long 47 days at Rush and eight rounds of chemo and many bumps in the road, our Mom is HOME!! I can’t even begin to tell you what a rockstar she is! This journey is far from over but she is home and very happy to get a break. She has another bone biopsy scheduled for next week to make sure there’s still no cancer cells left behind, if there’s not she will have a conclusion chemo and her bone marrow transplant that will be scheduled for April. For the time being she will checkin at Rush twice a week to check her vitals, port and make sure she doesn’t need a blood transfusion or platelets. Please keep praying for her as she continues this battle. Thank you so much for all the support! ❤️

About this fundraiser

                               🧡UPDATE🧡

First and for most we want to thank everyone for their generous donations, support and prayers. Your support is really what gets us through these hard times especially our mom.

As of 2/5 our mom has completed 7 rounds of chemo!

on 2/13 she will have another bone biopsy to see if she‘s in remission. PLEASE keep the prayers coming!! If in remission she will be able to continue this process of getting her stem cell transplant down the road when her body is a little stronger and her levels are all up.

Did I mention her brother was 100% match?! God is so good!

A lot of people have reached out about sending things or visiting. The hospital really only wants immediate family visiting to limit the germs going in and out of her room.
Also, she can‘t receive flowers but she CAN receive cards and balloons. Her room number is 1453 East.

Thank you so much for your support! Check back frequently for more updates!

To our surprise our dear mother was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in January and quickly was admitted into Rush Hopistal in Chicago to start chemotherapy.

Our mother is incredibly faithful, resilient and tough. She headed into this battle with a positive attitude, love of life and trust in God.

To know her is to be Inspired by her! Anyone who knows her KNOWS she will do anything for anyone! Now it's our turn for us to come together and help her in this horrible time.

She has currently completed two rounds of chemotherapy (a three week stay in the hospital) and is currently in preparation for a stem cell transplant which she will be readmitted for another 4-6 weeks and not to mention countless Dr appointments to and from Rush Hospital in Chicago.  That's hoping everything runs smoothly. Her team of Drs said this will be about a two year process out..

While the cancer may have attacked her blood, it has not taken away her faith in Christ and the hope that the healing of Christ will cover this cancer.

"Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

- Isaiah 41:10

This will be a long road of treatment and recovery, so we’re raising funds to cover expenses from her absence from work, lengthy hospital stays, medication not covered by BCBS and any outstanding medical bills.

Thank you so much for your generosity and prayers!
