Help Maria Fight Cancer — Emergency Surgery Wednesday July 15 at 7am.
For over 4 years, my sister Maria has been fighting cancer. I haven’t shared this widely — it’s been a private, painful journey for our family — but right now we need help, and I’m asking our community to stand with her. 
Three years ago, her stomach was removed as part of her treatment. To give her a better quality of life, our family moved out to the country so she could heal in peace.
A little over a year ago, after 12 rounds of intensive chemotherapy, she declined treatment to pursue more holistic approaches to give her body a chance to heal on its own terms. For a time, her health and wellbeing seemed to be improving. 
Recently, her health declined and she is now scheduled for another major cancer surgery where the cost of this surgery is approximately $20,000 — money our family simply does not have on our own. 
We are asking for two things right now:
1. Prayer. Please pray that our Great Physician Jesus, allows a successful operation and grants her comfort in many years to come and His hands will guide every step.
2. Financial support. Any contribution — no matter the size — brings us closer to covering this surgery and the care she’ll need afterward. If you’re not able to give, sharing this campaign with others means just as much.
Maria has fought this battle quietly and with incredible strength for three years — all while raising her child as a single mother.
Now it’s our turn to fight for her. We want to alleviate anything within our capabilities as she focuses on her health and the continued  brave face she maintains for her child.
