This kind man has been my friend for years.

I first met him after my house had caught fire and this stranger walked passed as I was standing outside covered in the ash and smoke from cleaning and he offered to help. He helped clean up  and went on to repair my house and turn it back to a home. We became so close I called him Uncle. His family turned their back on him as he aged and went into supported living. But our friendship continued and I did whatever I could to help and care for him. He died suddenly after his overnight carer got moved to another patient and had to leave my uncle alone. He had an accident at home that night and having no one to assist unfortunately passed away. With no family to bury him this duty I have taken on to say farewell and thank you.

But I don't have the funds to send him off.
