Help Me Pitch for the Minnesota Millers at the Beep Baseball World Series

Hi, my name is Kent Hagan, and I’m asking for your help to support my role as a pitcher for Minnesota’s only competitive blind baseball team — the Minnesota Millers — as we travel to the Beep Baseball World Series this July 21–27 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Beep baseball (or “beep ball”) is an incredible adaptive sport where blind and visually impaired athletes hit a beeping ball and run toward buzzing bases. As a sighted pitcher, I’m honored to be part of this world — throwing pitch after pitch to give our athletes their best shot at making contact with a ball they cannot see.

Last year, thanks to support from the generous people of this world, I was able to attend the World Series and help the Millers place 13th in the world. The look on my teammates' faces when they connect with the ball — the pride, the excitement, the pure joy — is something I’ll never forget.

This year, I want to help them do even better. But I can’t do it alone.

I'm a father of five, and like many, the economy has hit hard. The rising cost of travel, lodging, and food makes it difficult for me to attend without help. Your donation will directly help cover:

Lodging in St. Louis

Meals during the week-long tournament

Any additional funds will go right back to the team — toward new bats, a team dinner, or emergency gear replacement.

I know it may sound cheesy, but this sport changes lives — and it would mean the world to me to be able to continue pitching and supporting these athletes who overcome so much just to compete.

If you're able, please donate or share this campaign to help me represent Minnesota, support my teammates, and bring smiles to a team that never lets vision loss stop them.

Thank you for believing in what we do.

With gratitude,
Kent Hagan
